Samuel T. Bauer, MD is Physician Executive for Obstetrics and Gynecology for the Beaumont Medical Group, a 1,000-physician strong multispecialty group, employed by Beaumont Health, Michigan’s largest health care system, based on inpatient admissions and net patient revenue.

Dr. Bauer is a board-certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist and an Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He is the Chief of the Women’s and Children’s Clinical Care Program at Beaumont Health. He holds a State of Michigan Gubernatorial appointment to serve on and actively participates in the Michigan Maternal Mortality Surveillance medical and injury committees. Dr. Bauer represents ACOG District 5 as the Physician Champion for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Dr. Bauer holds a medical degree from the University of Kansas and completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he also received a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies and a Bachelor of Musical Arts. Dr. Bauer completed Fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
