Lisa M. Braddix is the Director for Population Health and Health Equity at the Greater Detroit Area Health Council (GDAHC) where she oversees projects and fosters organizational collaboration to improve the health of communities through southeast Michigan. GDAHC is the fiduciary for the Southeast Michigan Perinatal Quality Improvement Coalition (SEMPQIC), which serves as the Regional Perinatal Quality Collaborative for Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. Lisa also serves as the co-chairman of the Health Equity Committee for the Michigan Cancer Consortium, one of the country’s premier statewide partnerships to reduce the cancer burden.
Lisa is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and has a Master of Public Health Degree from the University of Michigan. She has also earned a graduate certificate in Non-Profit Management from Eastern Michigan University.
Lisa is a self-proclaimed health enthusiast and is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and encourages others to be fit by leading community group fitness classes.
